Rise, heal, and move forward together
At Rise Together Counseling in Idaho Falls, Idaho, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed counseling and therapy for teens and adults navigating life’s difficult seasons. Many people searching for a counselor are looking for a supportive, trusted professional to help them work through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where we explore your experiences, emotions, and patterns with care. Therapy is always tailored to your unique story and strengths, supporting meaningful, sustainable change rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
This is not an exhaustive list of concerns I work with, as counseling and therapy are collaborative and responsive to your individual needs. Seeking support is a courageous step, and you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to begin, I invite you to schedule a free counseling consultation and take the first step toward greater clarity, connection, and hope.
You may be living with the effects of trauma if you feel overwhelmed, emotionally shut down, constantly on edge, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand. Trauma can show up in many ways, including:
There is no single way trauma looks—your experience matters.
Trauma counseling and therapy offers a safe, supportive space where we move at your pace. Together, we explore how past experiences impact your thoughts and reactions while building tools to help you feel more grounded, regulated, and in control. My work is trauma-informed and integrates Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), CBT-based approaches, mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices.
If you feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in cycles of worry or self-criticism, you’re not alone. Anxiety and depression can make daily life feel heavy and hard to manage. You may experience:
In therapy, we slow things down and look beneath the symptoms. Using a strength-based approach with CBT and mindfulness, we work to identify unhelpful patterns, process emotions, and build practical skills for balance, self-compassion, and healthier boundaries.
Grief isn’t limited to death. You may be grieving a relationship, identity, health change, or life transition. These experiences can feel confusing, heavy, and isolating. Common experiences include:
Therapy provides a compassionate space to honor what’s been lost while gently adjusting to change. We move at your pace, build coping tools, and support resilience as you reconnect with clarity, meaning, and hope.
Sessions are typically held weekly and last about 55 minutes. Frequency can be adjusted based on your needs and goals.

Yes. I offer free 15-minute consultations by phone, online, or in person. This is a relaxed, no-pressure opportunity to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see how it feels to connect. Finding the right counselor matters, and this time is simply about making sure you feel comfortable and supported moving forward.
While the term counselor is commonly used, my professional license is Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). LCSWs are trained and licensed to provide psychotherapy and mental health treatment. Many clients use the term counselor when searching for therapy services.
